The original ending for this (or at least the one I kind of got stuck on for a bit was going to be a commentary on the difference between Mary Sues/Gary Stus and Alex, but I feel that’s a distinction best left to the readers. In general the idea is almost certainly overused, but I work a space very adjacent if not wholly within the realm of fanfics, so those criticisms would be completely fair to criticize my work.
I want to give a big thanks to my bubbler who gave a push to move forward on this bit, when I was thinking of pushing this off to next year This really helped me refine a lot of what I learned in Krita to assemble comics quickly in the new framework, and removed a lot of my anxiety using it. Be sure to thank the bubbler for their help in getting me off my ass in the discord or the forums which still exist!
Next story comic will be coming out Friday the 14th. I could probably get it out tomorrow, but next week is going to be stressful, and I want to make sure to give people something to look forward to. I’ll probably shoot to build up buffers again, and shoot for once a week until I get through the next two arcs. That feels like its manageable.
May also do a Christmas comic too. Have a 4 or 5 parter that I could get done pretty easily.
